Jonathan Huggins is an American English teacher from California. He has been teaching for 25 years, having taught in the United States, France, and Mexico. He is also an avid language learner and can speak 6 languages. This curiosity for language learning and empathy for English learners make him a very patient teacher who understands the challenges of the language learning process. Jonathan is the founder of the 30-Day Speaking Challenge, which is a thriving community of international language learners who record their speaking practice on a daily basis and give each other feedback. His participation in the challenge as well is currently a daily streak of 1,800+ days of recordings in 6 languages. Inspiration for the speaking challenge has also come from his work helping TOEFL prep students gain more confidence and fluency with their preparations for the speaking section of the exam.

How do you identify and which languages circulate your life?

Over the years, I have identified as American, then an American living abroad, and now as a global citizen. I speak English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Russian on a daily basis.
